Infinix Adopts Snapdragon Platforms for NOTE 60 Series

Smartphone performance is increasingly defined by system-on-chip architecture, power efficiency and AI acceleration. Infinix has announced plans to integrate Snapdragon® mobile platforms from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. into select smartphones, beginning with the upcoming NOTE 60 SERIES.

The NOTE 60 SERIES will be the first Infinix smartphones powered by Snapdragon platforms, marking a shift in the company’s core hardware strategy toward deeper chipset integration and system-level optimization.

Snapdragon integration enters the smartphone portfolio
The adoption of Snapdragon system-on-chip solutions introduces Qualcomm’s CPU, GPU, AI engine and connectivity subsystems into Infinix’s smartphone lineup. This follows the company’s use of Snapdragon platforms in its tablet portfolio over the past year, which established a technical base for broader platform expansion.

System-level optimization between hardware and software forms a key part of the integration. Aligning firmware, power management frameworks and performance tuning with Snapdragon architectures enables more stable workload handling across gaming, imaging and AI-assisted applications.

In gaming scenarios, chipset-level integration affects frame consistency, thermal behavior and power consumption. Within imaging pipelines, Snapdragon’s integrated ISP supports computational photography and multi-frame processing. Embedded AI engines enable on-device inference for features such as scene detection and adaptive system optimization.

R&D coordination and platform consolidation
The collaboration reflects an effort to consolidate silicon strategy as part of Infinix’s product development roadmap. Access to Qualcomm Technologies’ reference designs and platform architectures can streamline validation processes while allowing device-level differentiation through software tuning.

From an engineering perspective, closer hardware–software coupling supports improved scheduler optimization, battery performance management and multimedia processing efficiency. Using a unified chipset family across multiple devices can also simplify long-term software maintenance and firmware updates within a connected product ecosystem.

Positioning within the mobile computing landscape
The NOTE 60 SERIES represents the first smartphone implementation of this expanded partnership. Integrating Snapdragon mobile platforms embeds established processing, connectivity and AI acceleration capabilities directly into Infinix’s handset portfolio.

In the mobile device sector, chipset selection influences application responsiveness, graphics throughput, radio integration and long-term platform support. Through broader Snapdragon adoption across select smartphones and product categories, Infinix is standardizing its hardware foundation around a widely deployed mobile computing architecture.
